LAWLER: “Yeah. And the fact is, look, we can have policy disagreements, people can argue about different issues, but America was built on freedom of expression, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, the freedom to be who you are. And there’s a reality of life that we’re not all created the same. And so, yes, there are gay people in America, and the idea that somehow they shouldn’t exist or they shouldn’t be here is, frankly, outrageous and insulting to so many people. So, that was just an extremely idiotic statement on his part, and he should, most certainly, apologize for making it.”
