AUCHINCLOSS: “Utah passed a bill to do this, they hit a 2.5% levy on digital ad revenue. Why digital ad revenue? Digital ad revenue is the monetization of attention span, right? I mean, what do they sell advertisers? They say, 'Hey, we will place your ad and you’ll pay commensurate with how many people see it.' Well, that is the monetization of people’s eyeballs, and, you know, they quantify this. Instagram quantifies the lifetime value of a teenager on their platform at $280. And my response to Instagram is, I think my kids are worth more than $280."
