BRENNAN: “But this is all part of the Trump campaign to carry out revenge against his adversaries. And, you know, Todd Blanche saying that this is not, you know, going after his political enemies. I mean, how can he actually look himself in the mirror and believe what he is saying? As you pointed out, he looks like he is auditioning to be nominated to be attorney general. But in many respects, what is happening right now in the Trump Administration, I think justifies and legitimizes the things that I have been saying nearly for 10 years about what is happening under the leadership of Donald Trump and how much it is eroding these institutions of governance and our rule of law and our respect for the institutions that, really, we have relied on for so long to keep our country safe and secure.”
