DESANTIS: “We put a stop to that very quickly because it wasn’t going to work. (applause) And we’ve been very strong against child predators, which is something that is, unfortunately, it’s like, you know, these people just come out of the woodwork and it’s a really, you know, sad commentary on some parts of humanity that you see this, but we throw the book and make sure that people — in fact, we reauthorized the death penalty for pedophiles in the state of Florida.
