Laura Coates Mocks ‘Thought Process’ of Comey Indictment: ‘What Do You Got? Shell Casings? Nope? We’ve Got Sea Shells’
EXCERPT:
COATES: "Now, look, you cannot ignore the timing. This indictment came just three days after the apparent assassination attempt against Trump at the White House Correspondents Dinner. I mean, no one is scratching their heads about that criminal complaint. I mean, a man shows up with guns and knives and calls himself the friendly federal assassin, not a prosecutorial reach to try that case. But when it comes to Comey, I mean, I can only imagine the thought process here. You say it‘s a threat to kill the president? All right. What do you got? Shell casings? No, we‘ve got shells. Sea shells. What about a manifesto? Well, we‘ve got a picture of the number 86 next to the number 47. And he‘s the one who actually wrote that message, right, or, I mean, arrange the shells there, right? Well, no, he took a picture of them. And so — and he said that he intended for that message to convey a threat? Well, actually, he said he didn‘t realize '86' was associated with violence and that he opposes violence of any kind. And he kept the picture up? Still? Well, no, he took it down and then said, again, he opposes violence of any kind."
