Cliff May: The Architect of the 9/11 Attack Thinks They Are Going to Win Because the U.S. ‘Will Always Quit’ But ‘I Think President Trump Will Not Quit’

‘He said because we know you guys and you guys will always quit’

EXCERPT:

MAY: "There are only two power centers, have always been, in this regime. One is the clerisy, the theocrats. That really meant Ayatollah Khomeini, the revolutionary leader. He was venerated, he killed thousands but a lot of people venerated him. After 1989 it’s been Khomeini, he had respect. The IRGC is not the regular military, it serves the supreme leader, 'the exalted one' — I’m translating that a little better — but the political guys, they are handmaidens, they've always been handmaidens. They don’t wear turbans and they don’t have guns. That means they do what they’re told at the end of the day. So it was never any question. This is kind of clarifying because now we see the IRGC is in control. Mojtaba, the son of Khomeini, he is theoretically the supreme leader, I don’t know that he’s conscious, much less making any decisions. Last thing I’ll say that I think is important is, understand their strategy. Their strategy was articulated best by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Remember who he was? He was the architect of the 9/11 attacks. In Gitmo, in Guantanamo, he was interrogated and he said, 'We’re going to win.' His interrogators said, 'How do you think you can win against the U.S., against a super power? How do you think that’s possible.' He said, 'Because we know you guys, and you guys will always quit.' I think President Trump will not quit. That’s my hope, and I have confidence that’s true. I think he understands he doesn’t want to be what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed thinks Americans are."
