Turley: Gov. Sanders Being Accosted at a Restaurant Is the Consequence of Dem Leaders Injecting Rage into Our Political System

‘And this is the face of that rage’

EXCERPT:

TURLEY: “You know, I just wrote a book called Rage and the Republic, which is about political rage and how this is what I called an age of rage. And there are people who feed that rage. Rage is an addiction and people won’t admit it, but they like it. And you have a lot of politicians that are feeding that addiction, hoping that it’ll bring them to power in November. And I think this is the reflection of that. It takes a lot to keep that hate on until November. And so, you have a lot of politicians, they’re injecting this rage directly into the bloodstream of the political system. You’ve got people like Hakeem Jeffries and Richard Blumenthal in the last 24 hours saying that ICE was going to pull people out of line in airports and possibly murder them or snatch their children. That’s what it takes to keep this type of hate going in society. And then the manifestation is what we see in restaurants. And you’ve had Democratic politicians encouraging people to confront conservatives and Republicans in restaurants, and this is the face of that rage.”
