Rep. Jayapal Says She’s Against Voter ID Because ‘50% of Americans Don’t Have Birth Certificate’

JAYAPAL: “So their new tactic seems to be around going after mail-in ballots and forcing IDs for people. And remember that if you have to have an ID, you have to come up with a birth certificate. Your birth certificate, 50 percent of Americans don't have birth certificates, 50 percent of the country -- 50 percent of women who are married have a birth certificate where the name is different from your ID.”
