Chai Komanduri on Trump: ‘It’s Like Watching Elmer Fudd Try To Be Dictator of America’
RUSH EXCERPT:
KOMANDURI: "Yeah. I mean, I think Trump came in this year saying people think I’m weak. I’m going to do everything I can to look strong. I’m going to execute the authoritarian playbook, go into Venezuela, bully the Fed, threaten Greenland, all to make me look strong. The problem is, is that he’s so incoherent and incompetent in executing this authoritarian playbook. It’s like watching elmer fudd try to be dictator of America like he. Absolutely. Him and Stephen Miller have absolutely no ability to attract popular support for what they’re doing. And I think part of it is, is that they’ve forgotten something very important about authoritarians, which is that they make the trains run on time. The Trump strategy is that the trains are as late as ever, but we’re just going to lie about it, and we’re somehow going to expect the American people to like that. And the reality is they don’t."
