David French: In Trump’s Mind, There Is No Crime if You Are Pursuing Trump’s Agenda

FRENCH: “This decision to immediately back the ICE agent, to immediately label the poor woman who was killed as a domestic terrorist, and then refuse to even mount an investigation as if these various Twitter videos just tell us everything we need to know, all of that tells all of these people out in the world of ICE that this administration has your back even when you are grossly irresponsible in a way that's deadly and obvious. And that is a message that worries me. Pile that on top of the January 6th pardons and the many other pardons that you've seen out of Trump's administration and the message is really, really clear out here. There is no crime if you're pursuing -- in Trump's mind -- if you're pursuing Trump's agenda. If you're opposing Trump's agenda, you're a criminal, and you're such a criminal that you maybe even deserve what's coming to you into the streets in their minds. And that is what is so dangerous.”
