STEIL: "Thanks for having me on, Jason. Merry Christmas. The American people deserve to know what is in the Christmas stockings of members of Congress. The 2012 law that was passed that started this processing reports is woefully insufficient. The report you just gave about the volume of stock being traded by folks like Nancy Pelosi and others gives a clear indication that we have to clean things up in Washington. If you want to day trade stocks, go to Wall Street. Don’t come to Capitol Hill. We have a huge opportunity here to improve the law and prevent members from buying and trading stock to make a living and try to make a profit with the risk that they’re using insider information to financially benefit themselves rather than serving the American people."
