Tim Miller on the Brown University Shooting: ‘This Was a Colossal Failure,’ the 1200 Cameras Translates to Five Cameras Per Structure
RUSH EXCERPT:
MILLER: “You are exactly right, Laura. It wasn’t too long ago we were talking about butler and trying to figure out what went wrong. The answer for this one is everything went wrong. Remember security is proactive. Is designed to stop something before it happens. This was a colossal failure. And by the way, the 1200 cameras are related to the 146 acres and 246 different structures which translates to five cameras per structure. That is insane. When we consult all over the country, the first thing we look at his technical surveillance. But now there are smart cameras that can see stuff and reported to you. You don’t even have to sit there and watch the screen. So at every level, this was a colossal failure. And to your point, there are two people that don’t get to move forward and it kind of reminds me of the sloped roof after the butler situation.”
