Hope Walz Says ‘It’s Not Safe’ for Her to Be in the Internet Right Now
WALZ: “In the past few days, there have been some things that have crossed that line. I have gotten some really scary emails, you know, DMs, comments, just stuff on the internet, and it’s gotten to a point where it is not really safe for me to be on the internet right now. So I’m going to take a step back, until probably after Christmas. I never thought that I would, you know, have to do this, but it’s at a point where what is being said on the internet potentially has, you know, real-life consequences that, you know, could potentially harm me or my family. And that is where I draw the line. I’m always going to be someone that stands up for what is right and for the little guy, but I think right now, I just have to look out for my family and my family's safety. So, yeah. I know there’s so much support. Sometimes it’s hard when you’re, like, in this to see that and, like, it’s hard for me sometimes, but there’s more support than there is hate. But when, you know, 'hate' has real consequences, I have to take it seriously. So, I see all of your guys' support, my family sees all of your guys' support. We love you guys, I’m just not gonna post for a couple weeks.”
