Jill Stein Criticizes Bernie Sanders: ‘It’s Not Enough to Just Talk About the Oligarchy’

STEIN: “I think the politics are really screwed up because we have a sold-out system. We have a sold-out system because so much money is concentrated into so few hands. It's like Bernie's message. We have an oligarchy. But you have to go beyond saying that. This is where I hold Bernie to account. It's not enough to just talk about the oligarchy without also talking about the political parties that are run of, by, and for the oligarchy.”
BALLASY: “And he was run out of the Democratic Party --”
STEIN: “I know, that's right.”
BALLASY: “-- during the election.”
STEIN: “So how is it that he's apologizing for them or, you know, trying to bring them back? You know, to my mind, that just doesn't pass muster. We have to stand up and use the power that we have as the American people who have really thrown in the towel on these outrageous, sold-out political parties. We need a politics that's working for us.”
