‘The heat wave is related to the snow storms’

Fmr. Head of Meteorological Assoc.: 'We've Forgotten How To Be Cold Because of Global Warming' (YouTube)

Dr. Marshall Shepherd, the former head of the American Meteorological Association, appeared Sunday on CBS' Face the Nation to talk about the weather. He said that the public has largely forgotten how to cope with severe winter weather because those events have become rarer as global warming accelerates.

"I think we've forgotten how to be cold or deal with snowstorms, because we're seeing so few of these big storms like we've seen," he added. "And that probably is because of climate warming."
