Gov. Ned Lamont: People of Connecticut ‘Hate’ Paying Electricity Bills
EXCERPT:
LAMONT: "Hate it! The electric prices are going up. They’re going up all across the country, and they’re going up in New England. They’re going up in my state. And a lot of that is due to supply and demand. And one of the things we work very hard with the Trump Administration is to get more electricity supply into our state, all of the above. That’s hydro coming in from Canada. That could be natural gas, that could be nuclear power, and that is wind. We have something called 'revolution wind' right off the coast of Rhode Island, Connecticut, enough to power 350,000 homes. That will bring down the price of electricity for all of us. And at the very last moment, about a month ago, right before Labor Day, the Trump Administration pulled the plug on it, but yesterday the courts said revolution wind is back. Jimmy Kimmel's back, revolution wind is back."
