EXCERPT:
RAOUL: "Absolutely. I do find it unusual because we’ve had a history through both the first Trump Administration and the Biden Administration of collaborating with law enforcement partners. We have a tremendous police superintendent here. We have a good sheriff. We have a good state police director, and we have good special agents in charge of the Federal agencies who have been collaborating on crime fighting and driving crime rates down. If the president were interested in genuinely fighting crime, he would not try to defund atf, not try to defund community violence interruption, not try to place condition on funding for victims of crime but he’s doing all of those things, which is inconsistent with the desire of fighting crime."
