Diane Swonk on Weak Jobs Report: They Were Collected in the Same Way as Last Month

SWONK: “Well, they actually were collected in exactly the same way they were last month. And I think that’s important. They — it really takes hundreds of people to put this data together. And the person that’s in charge of that also was working under the former head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. So I think those things are important to remember, and it’s also very consistent with what we’ve seen in other job numbers in the private sector, everything from ADP payrolls to Revelio Labs, all of them showing a major slowdown in job creation and the number of jobs that we’re generating out there.”
