Nicholas Fondacaro: Joy Reid Unwittingly Admits She Got Chris Matthews Old Gig Thanks to DEI, Not Merit

‘She basicially admits she got in just on the basis of her skin color’

EXCERPT:

FONDACARO: "Yeah, she’s basically just pointing out that she got in based just on the color of skin, not the content of her character or the work that she was able to do, meaning that she might have pushed somebody else out of the way just because of her skin color. And basically, she’s right. That’s basically what happened with MSNBC when she got Chris Matthews' old gig. He had his little scandal that had to do with women, so they pushed him out of the way and gave it to her. Meanwhile, Steve Kornacki seemed to be the guy that was waiting in the wings to take over the show. He was the guy that they had come on to fill in for Chris Matthews all the time, and you can tell when a show is getting ready, is sort of grooming the next host to take over the time slot, because they're the one that’s filling in all the time. And then when Chris Matthews had his little kerfuffle with women and that scandal, they’re like, 'Oh, boy, we've got to put a woman in to sort of make up for him and his scandal.' And that’s how Joy Reid got thrust into this position to take over his time slot. So, yeah, she’s proud that she's got in that way."
