NBC News: Rudy Giuliani Fractures Spine in Weekend Car Crash

FRANCIS: “Yeah, right now, Kate, what we know is Mayor Giuliani is recovering in a hospital. He is expected to be there for a few days, but he’s also expected to make a full recovery. Now, as you’re seeing on the screen, his head of security actually listed out some of those injuries he’s had, like a fractured vertebrae, hurt on his left arm and leg, and he was transferred to a trauma center. But how did we get here? On Saturday he was at a AA baseball game. We know that because there’s a video of him from the local news at the game. After the game, around 10:00, that’s when he was rear-ended on the road by a 19-year-old woman driving a Honda HR-V. He was in a rented Ford Bronco in the passenger seat, but according to police, the rear-ended car hit them, they went into a median and both cars sustained a lot of damage. But so far no one has been charged. It’s still under investigation, which is really interesting.”
