Byron York: ‘There Is No Leader of the Democratic Party’

‘There is no democratic leader of anything in Washington’

RUSH EXCERPT:

YORK: “no surprise that a former president would be politically involved in his party. And sometimes publicly, they are very valuable. Bill Clinton, when he was peak post president a few years very valuable for the Democratic Party. He has gotten a little bit too old for that right now. No surprise that Barack Obama is involved. He has been particularly involved in this whole redistricting fight. In part because Eric Holder, his wing man, as attorney general, has made that a cause for quite a while. So, Obama has basically now come out and said the redistricting fight, I believe he said, is existential threat to democracy. So the whole country is going to just end if the redistricting goes through. So, is he taking a more public role, in part because there is no leader of the Democratic Party. There is no democratic president. There is no democratic speaker of the House. There is no democratic Senate leader. There is no democratic leader of anything in Washington, which is why you’re seeing so much energy on the fringes. So, instead of ceding all the energy to Mamdani and Aoc, I think Obama has come out and tried to claim Democratic Party leadership.”
