GILLESPIE: "I think that what you’re seeing here, and it’s something that I’ve been. Noticing. Is that because the courts are slower to act, the president. Is able to move at a pace that he feels is. In his best interest, and any fallout that might come from this will be delayed. The impact will already. Be felt, and the message will already. Be sent that he is in control. And you know, he already got victories earlier this year with the courts by really giving himself a blank check to do whatever he whatever he feels, he has presidential immunity. So there isn’t this repercussion on his actions. And so I do think what we’re seeing play out, and I say this not as alarmist and not somebody who is trying to scare anyone, but I do think we’re watching the president test those boundaries and feel as though he can really do whatever he chooses, because the courts will be slower to act"
