Hugh Hewitt: Unless the NYC Mayoral Race Boils Down to Two Candidates, ‘There Is No Way to Beat’ Mamdani
‘I think Mr. Mamdani has hurt himself, but you cannot beat someone with no one’
EXCERPT:
HEWITT: “Look, I’m not a gym rat. I’m not going to criticize him for that. But I do know optics, and optics don’t include having to struggle with — not exactly a Popeye-like display of strength. So I think Mr. Mamdani hurt himself, but you can’t beat someone with no one. And right now with Cuomo in the race and with Eric Adams in the race and with Curtis Sliwa in the race, unless they get down to one person, there’s no way to beat him. And I don’t even know if there’s any way to beat him without it. Democrats, as we can see with the land acknowledgement in Minneapolis, are really wedded to going left and then further left and then off the left cliff. And I think it’s going to take a couple of cycles till they get done with it.”
