Rep. Smith on DoJ’s Maxwell Audio Release: ‘Trump Is Trying to ‘Dodge Responsibility,’ Impugning the Character of Others
RUSH EXCERPT:
SMITH: "Well, first of all, we. Should make. Clear that. Miss maxwell. Has no credibility. Whatsoever for the reason. That you just stated. I mean. She will say whatever she has to say right now to. Try to reduce. The sentence or get a pardon. From Trump. So her credibility. I mean, she. Can say a lot of different things. I wouldn’t put any stock in any. Of it. She’s been convicted and proven to have been guilty of the crimes we’re talking about here. So she. Has no credibility. Number one. Number two, Trump. Is trying. To dodge. Responsibility for all the lies he told, impugning. The character of other people. He promised that there was something here, that he would become president and he would release it. And now he’s backing off of that because there is nothing there. So, you know, it’s it’s just another example of Donald Trump using lies to smear people and spreading conspiracy theories. And I hope we’ll start holding him accountable for that now."
