HAM: “I think this is the right strategy. Historically speaking, it would look like 2026 probably won't be a bright year for Republicans, but you can overcome expectations. Certainly the money story and the voter registration story suggest that Republicans are on pretty good footing. You can always get out over your skis in a midterm election. But again, the be normal challenge is very hard for Democrats.”
