Marc Short: National Guard Is a ‘Winning Issue,’ Vance ‘Should Rise Above’ Protesters
‘Cleaning up D.C. and protecting against crime’
EXCERPT:
SHORT: "Look, I think that it‘s good that he went to visit the National Guard. I think it‘s actually a winning issue for a lot of Republicans to show us cleaning up D.C. and protecting against crime. I think it‘s unfortunate that he gets protested when he‘s duly elected vice president. But I also think it‘s incumbent upon him in that role to also respect that these are American citizens, too, and not get back in the back-and-forth and name calling. So I think he should rise above it. But look, I think it‘s also unfortunate when the vice president of the United States is booed in a public format like that."
