Peter Navarro on Tariffs: All Deals Have a National Security Policy, and ‘The Trade Deals Reflect That’

NAVARRO: "Let me explain how we have a template that we use for every country when we negotiate. There’s the obvious thing about the tariffs and nontariff barriers there is also national security vertical with the Japanese deal, Japan’s will give us $350 billion of investment and it is targeted precisely to our supply chain vulnerability, that’s the way we think we have a similar deal with Korea and they’re going to help us deal with the vulnerability in shipbuilding even as were able to sell more energy abroad. All of these deals that we do have this national security in the trade deals reflect that."
