SCARBOROUGH: "Well, so here we have — we heard about the spring offensive that was going to be coming by Ukraine a few years ago. It never really materialized. We’ve been hearing about this summer offensive by the Russians, also not materializing. They have more troops, but those troops are getting slaughtered in numbers that are sickening to Moscow — maybe not to Vladimir Putin, but to many Russians, those numbers are absolutely sickening. They continue. And it just proves once again what most military analysts have been saying for a few years now: We are locked in a World War I-style stalemate."
