The notion of appointing a special counsel makes no sense here. There is no conflict on the part of Trump or bondi that would necessitate a special counsel in a situation like this. Jeff. Jeffrey Epstein is, of course, dead. And a special counsel won’t even really solve anything, because that person is going to have the same pressures and the same constraints that Pam Bondi has and could also be fired by Trump if that person goes rooting around in an area that Trump doesn’t like.
