‘To oppose those is to oppose reductions in income inequality’

RUSH EXCERPT:
HASSETT: "Yeah. It doesn’t make any sense at all.l. I have got to say that I’m so honored to b bparted of a team with people like Treasury secretary Scott Bessent. Because, if you can imagine, that while he is doing that, we had a so-called bibig six meetin todadawith the speaker of the House, the majority leleer, and the rest of the staff going over what the big, beauauful bill is going to look like. Meanwhile wewere negotiating the president’s trip to Saudi Arabia and what agreements we might have there. While is he preparing to go and to Switzerland to negotiate with the Chinese. And the fact that he stay so goododumored with all that work heheas doing is so impressive. I’m so proud to be on the team that President Trump has put together with people like that. You are right, if you go back and look, again, the bottom line isishat President Trump’s America first, American worker first agenda in the firsrst term made it so that wages went up by $6,500. Wages went up between n 17 to 2019 by more for people at the bottom than people at the top. Come inequality declined because E the policies that we’re now multiplying by two. To oppose those is to oppose reductions in income inequality. Real w wes. Growth of jobs. The people that are opposing that, I don’t know what they are really standing for, but it’s certainly not the American people."
