CNN’s Elie Honig Says the ‘Presidency Is Far More Powerful’ Thanks to Supreme Court Ruling on Trump Executive Order

‘What this says is that district court judges, by and large, cannot individually block a president’s orders across the country’

EXCERPT:

HONIG: “Well, they have to either become parties themselves to a lawsuit, right? They can no longer rely on, well, one district judge in some other district blocked this nationwide. If someone wants to challenge this now, they have to either sue on their own or become part of what we call a class action, a large group of people going in and suing at once. It’s way more burdensome than it was a few hours ago. And the bottom line takeaway from today is right now, the presidency — forget about Donald Trump — the presidency is far more powerful than it was at 9:55 AM this morning. What this says is that district court judges, by and large, cannot individually block a president’s orders across the country. And it should be noted, this was a problem.”
