Kight: Trump Likes the Idea of Iran Willing to Negotiate, But It’s Also Clear That He’s Okay with Israel Putting Pressure

‘I think he is torn’

RUSH EXCERPT:
KIGHT: "I think negotiations are also what President Trump wants. I think he wants a deal, he likes the idea of Iran coming to the table and actually being willing to negotiate and take some of the U.S. offers that have been on the table up unto this point. But it is also clear that Trump is okay with Israelis continuing to put pressure on Iran and continuing the attacks. Even today the president seem to kind of cast doubt on this idea of some kind of ceasefire to allow gauche Asians between the U.S. and Iran to continue. He said he would potentially be open to some kind of a ceasefire deal to allow those talks to continue. But then he also said that would be difficult because Israel’s attacks have been successful, they have been doing what they planned to do and it has been something that Trump sees as potentially a good thing. We will see how this shakes out over the next two weeks and I think those are the tensions at play here and why the president has put this two week time period on this because I think he is torn. He is very willing to backup Israel on one hand and is frustrated by the way negotiations have been going. At the same time, if this puts pressure on Iran to actually come to the table and he can sign some important deal with real concessions or around, I think you would welcome that as well."
