Swalwell: Republicans Are Going Farther Than Trump Because He’s No Longer Convinced on Having Ice Raids That Take People Out of Jobs

‘Because we’re all going to pay more if there aren’t workers there, which to me shows that the public sentiment works’

RUSH EXCERPT:
SWALWELL: "No, many of them, to my surprise. And I think you pointed this out on pod save America this week. They are going farther than Trump on this, because Trump is now no longer convinced that we should be having ice raids that take people out of the fields when they’re putting food on our plate or out of hotels and the hospitality industry, because we’re all going to pay more if there aren’t workers there, which to me shows that the public sentiment works. Trump always chickens out. He’s going to cave if the public sentiment drives him that way, which is the reason we all have to show up this weekend. One colleague of mine did speak out, and I want to give him a shout out because David Valadao of the central valley, who has one of the largest immigrant communities who work in the farms in the central valley, tweeted out this week that these ice rates are going too far and they should focus on violent criminals. And I hope more of my colleagues speak up in that way."
