Arnold Schwarzenegger: ‘I Was Living in Fear of Being Deported’
‘This is a very sensitive subject to me’
EXCERPT:
SCHWARZENEGGER: "And, of course, this is a very sensitive subject to me, because when I came over to this country, I was living in fear of being deported."
KIMMEL: "Were you?"
SCHWARZENEGGER: "Yeah, because at one point I did a movie that was so bad that I thought the critics would deport me — would deport me and send me back to Austria. Hasta la vista, baby!"
(Laughter)
KIMMEL: "You were worried that you would be deported for creative reasons, yes."
