Ramaswamy on the Trump-Musk Feud: Elon Will Be a Great Leader in the Private Sector

RAMASWAMY: "I will say a few things first of all all is well that ends well and Elon, myself, President Trump, we all share one thing in common, None of us is cut out to be a particularly great number 2 but the fact of the matter is he will be a great leader in the private sector and I’m leading in the state of Ohio and President Trump is the unambiguous leader of the United States of America and I believe on track to do a great job. Are there multiple objectives we have to accomplish? Absolutely. President Trump won in a mandate with a mandate for securing the border and addressing the issues that he talked about most on the campaign trail. That doesn’t take away from the reality and I do believe it is a reality that we will have to address this national debt crisis because that falls on the shoulders of our next generation of Americans. I’m a father of two sons, one is five and the other is 2. It’s their generation that will deal with it. If you ask me the the great way deal with this is how do we create a culture of independence for that next generation? That’s the key to the kingdom. How do we cultivate a new generation dependent on that entitlement? That is the way we need to be thinking ambitiously for the long run. How do we cultivate a generation of millionaires? Starting with compounding growth at a young age but also decoupling their dependence on that federal entitlement. Let’s be honest, that is really what is weighing on the national debt when you think about the long run unfunded liabilities in that entitlement state. That’s what we have to address and anything else is really just window dressing around the edges."
