State Sen. Jessica Ramos Endorses Andrew Cuomo for Mayor
EXCERPT:
RAMOS: “My name will stay on the ballot this year because of the issues I've championed, raising the minimum wage, building truly affordable housing, delivering for workers and immigrants -- those still need a champion. And I know that with Andrew Cuomo. But leadership also means knowing when to unite around what's needed most. Because this isn't about ego, it's about learning, and it's about protecting the future of all New Yorkers. So let me tell you what I'm looking forward to. I'm looking forward to a city that cuts through the noise and gets big things done. I want a city that lifts up workers and the immigrants. I want a city that acts like the world-class place that it is, with real investments, with bold solutions, and with no patience for the distractions of performative politics and empty outrage. (Cheering and Applause) I believe we can have that city and I believe we can have Andrew Cuomo can lead us there. Please join me in welcoming the next mayor of New York." (Cheering and Applause)
