Leo Terrel on Meeting Mayor Adams: If We Can Work with the City Of New York It Could Be a Stepping Stone for All Other Cities

‘The epicenter of anti-Semitism has occurred in New York City’

EXCERPT:

TERRELL: "I had a meeting with Mayor Adams and his staff. I didn’t know what to expect. Mayor Adams created a task force to combatant anti-Semitism. I wanted to see if he was real, sincere. And let me tell you right now, I was ecstatic. We have a new partner. The Department of Justice has a new partner. Mayor Adams and his staff are committed to working on eliminating anti-Semitism. And I want you to bring me back in 45 days, because we are working on an agreement, an agreement where we're working together to report hate crimes, where we are educating police officers. When there is an incident of hate, we work together, DoJ and the city of New York. And why is that significant? Because the epicenter of anti-Semitism has occurred in New York City. If we can work with the city of New York, it could be a stepping stone for all other cities."
