Rep. Nadler: ‘Congestion Pricing Is Making New York Better’

NADLER: "The bottom line is this: congestion pricing is making New York better. We know it works. The numbers are in and better every month. Streets have less traffic and commuting times into the city are dramatically faster. Even our good friends across the river are beginning to sing its praises. We have demonstrably faster emergency response times, cleaner air, safer streets and fewer crashes. Crime in the subways is down in New York City and the numbers prove it. All this while providing funding for empty accessibility improvements and transit extensions like the Second Avenue subway. So to Trump, Duffy and anyone else trying to derail congestion pricing, get out of the way. This train is staying on the tracks. Congestion pricing will continue. We will fund the MTA and we will protect the rights of New Yorkers to make decisions about our own city. Thank you."
