CNN: ‘Rust’ Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed Released from Prison on Parole

HILL: “The armorer convicted in the deadly shooting on the set of the Alec Baldwin film 'Rust' is now out of prison. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was released on Friday after serving 18 months for involuntary manslaughter. She was convicted in the 2021 fatal shooting by Baldwin of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Prosecutors say she brought live rounds to the set and also failed to follow basic gun safety rules. Gutierrez-Reed is now out on parole with restrictions, including a ban on owning firearms.”
