BARAKA: "That’s exactly right. I think this is we’re moving slowly into authoritarianism, this idea that we can defy courts, that maybe or maybe not. We have to listen to lower courts, the federal courts, that the laws don’t mean anything. And state and local municipalities that we can disregard people’s elected authority and power. This is what’s happening here. And I think ultimately folks have to stand against that. This is a moral moment we’re in right now. We need to play on the sidelines. And we figure out how to push back against what’s happening collectively. I think that we have a need to have a collective push against protecting our constitution, because that’s really what it’s about. the Constitution of this country, constitution of the states that we live in, and the policies that we uphold based on the voters that elected us. And that’s what we’re defending. All these policies and immigration, you know, fights that we’re having back and forth. We can both have different positions on immigration, but we have to all--"
