Van Hollen: ‘There Seems to Be No Bottom’ to Republicans’ Support for Trump ‘Regardless of the Grift or Corruption Involved’
‘This idea is just so outrageous’
EXCERPT:
VAN HOLLEN: “Well, you could stop it with a vote. Of course, you have to win the vote, and that does require, you know, Republican senators and House members ultimately joining us. But this idea is just so outrageous and so obviously a conflict of interest for the president that it’s possible that some of the senators that you mentioned earlier, for example, would support it. But I have to say, Anderson, I have to see it to believe it, because what we’ve seen as a pattern where Republicans may, you know, grumble about some of these things, but at the end of the day, there seems to be no bottom to their support for the president, regardless of the grift or corruption involved.”
