Keane on the Houthi Truce: They Took a Beating, But Will Likely Recover and Be Back

KEANE: "Well there’s no doubt they took a pretty severe beating here. And I think likely what they really intend to do is recover from that. And Houthis are the Houthis we have a long-term experience with them so do nations in the region for audience to understand — the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and uae were attacking them in an air campaign for almost seven years. Truce in ’22 as a result of it. And they demonstrated Houthis considerable resilience hundreds of thousands killed a lot of their fighters, and a lot of their equipment destroyed but they never gave up the fight. That’s the reality of it. Houthis are a bad omen in the Middle East. They will lookly recover and be back. But they’re coming to the table and giving up because they took such a beating, and it was consequential. And I think they know full well if they do this again United States is actually prepared to reattack as well."
