Tim Miller: You Can’t Look at Marco Rubio’s Behavior as Anything Other than an Interest in a 2028 Presidential Run

MILLER: "I don’t possibly see how you could look at Marco Rubio’s behavior as anything other than an interest in 2028. I mean, he has changed his views to move towards MAGA on basically every relevant foreign policy issue. I mean, he was a huge advocate for people fleeing communism, fleeing Venezuela, fleeing Nicaragua, fleeing Cuba throughout his whole career. And now the Trump Administration is taking away protected status of those people that fled those countries to come to America, they shut down the Radio Martí, which is the free Cuba radio. You know, he’s gone after obviously people on campus for writing op eds opposed to Israel. So, like, across the board, Marco has really, like, aligned himself with MAGA in a very ostentatious way. And I think that that’s obviously due to his political ambitions, I mean, in addition to wanting to stay in Trump’s good graces and I guess keep getting appointed to different temporary jobs, interim jobs."
