Fmr. Ky. AG Cameron on Letitia James Planning to Sue Trump’s HHS over Funding Cuts: ‘It Is Absurd’

CAMERON: "Look, this is patently absurd, what Letitia James is doing in New York related to this potential lawsuit. To your point, these are proposed cuts, they haven't even been set in stone. So the fact that she is doing this just shows how desperate she is and trying to distract from her own legal woes that she has right now. Look, this is not uncommon. This is what the Democratic AGs do. Democrats are out of power in Washington, D.C., so they resort to these frivolous lawsuits. They have another one right now against the HHS related to Covid era funding. Democratic AGs are the only ones that still live in a world where Covid still exists, and they are still suing over that funding. It is patently absurd. Again, it's to distract from what else she's got going on related to her own legal challenges. Look, I’m running for the United States Senate because I firmly believe we have to have leadership there that recognizes we have to be looking out for the American people. That is what President Trump is doing with the America first agenda. It's unfortunate that Democrat AGs are fighting against that."
