CBS News: Illinois Man Sentenced to 53 Years in Prison in Hate Crime Murder of 6-Year-Old Palestinian-American Boy

REPORTER: “The landlord who killed a six-year-old Palestinian-American boy and severely injured his mother has been sentenced to 53 years in prison. Joseph Czuba was found guilty of murder, attempted murder and hate crime charges back in February. Prosecutors say that Czuba targeted the family because of their Muslim faith in response to the war between Israel and Hamas. The family was renting rooms from Czuba at the time of this attack. Our CBS News Chicago affiliate has reaction from the family.”
