Dem Rep. Eugene Vindman: ‘Mike Waltz’s Departure Is Just the First Domino’

‘This adds more chaos in the national security realm’

EXCERPT:

VINDMAN: “Well, look, I think it’s been about a month or so since we last spoke and we just marked 100 days of this presidency, which is, I think the word I would use to describe is chaos. This adds more chaos in the national security realm and the president has suffered a series of setbacks. I mean, we’ve seen this pressure and him backpedaling on tariffs. In the national security realm, Signalgate was a major, major failure. I mean, really historic to have the national security adviser, the vice president, the Secretary of Defense involved in this kind of scandal that put American lives, certainly the mission, but American lives at risk. And so, this is the start of accountability, but it’s just a start. We need a full-scale investigation. We talked about this in the committee yesterday, spent a big chunk of the day talking about Signalgate and Secretary of Defense Hegseth, and he’s got to go. He’s completely unqualified for the position. And I think Mike Waltz’s departure is just the first domino.”
