Al Sharpton: Donald Trump’s 100 Days Has Been a Disaster

‘Some of us thought it would be bad, but none of us thought it would be this disastrous’

EXCERPT:

SHARPTON: “I happened to preach in Michigan on Sunday in Detroit at Triumph Baptist Church, but I also talked to some of the activists working with us toward the August 28th Wall Street March. Many of them in the Arab American community, that made a difference in helping Trump win Michigan, who are now totally with buyer’s remorse, saying, 'Wait a minute, this guy is everything we didn’t want and we wish we hadn’t voted for him.' So I think that, yes, I think some of his hardcore supporters are going to dig in. It’s almost like, 'I don’t want to admit I made a mistake.' But I think some of the people that were in the middle, that could have went either way, that went with him, he has organized against them. We wake up this morning, find out over 100 lawyers left the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department and just walked out. These are people that are working on real cases to make sure they protect people’s civil rights and civil liberties, walks out because they’ve changed the whole purpose of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department. I think Donald Trump’s 100 days has been a disaster. Some of us thought it would be bad, but none of us thought it would be as disastrous in the 100 days. I thought he'd at least get to the 300 days."
