So, you know, Trump doesn’t like these kinds of headlines. He doesn’t like this kind of perception. He also doesn’t like, though, giving in to what he perceives to be the Washington establishment and getting rid of desks at this point might be seen as an admission that he was wrong to pick him in the first place, because a lot of people warned us that this is exactly what would happen if he became secretary of defense. Remember. He. Had never run anything comparable to the United States military. He’d only made it, I think, to major was never a general. He the he. Ran a. Couple small veterans organizations. Those were widely considered to be dysfunctional. He was pushed out. So, you know, there was a lot of indications that this might not be the best fit.
