Harvard Alumnus: The American Taxpayer Should Not Be Funding the Anti-American Behavior at Our Universities
EXCERPT:
KESTENBAUM: "Yeah, these universities are fighting the Trump Administration far harder than they have ever fought anti-Semitism or political indoctrination. I basically have two messages. Number one, if you are a graduate, if you are a donor, if you are on Wall Street and you're thinking of giving these morally bankrupt anti-American institutions a penny, to quote our president, you should probably have your head examined. And number two, this is really the root of the matter. Why is it the American people are bailing out, to the tune of billions of dollars annually, elitist anti-American institutions that have endowments larger than most countries' GDP? When I was on the far left, I remember talking about slogans like 'Taxing the rich,' 'Billionaires pay their fair share,' Smash the oligarchy.' And because of the Trump derangement syndrome, we, of course, have made martyrs out of institutions like Columbia, like Princeton, like Yale. These are institutions that do not teach students to have pro-American sympathies, but rather to, like Mahmoud Khalil suggested, eradicate Western civilization. The American taxpayer should not be funding this."
