Marc Short: Trump Is on the ‘Right Side’ of the Harvard Legal Battle
EXCERPT:
SHORT: “Look, I think that the president is on the right side of this. I think millions of Americans support him. I think that, for many, many Americans, they look at elite Ivy League schools and wonder why they feel entitled to taxpayer dollars. You have a university here that has a $53 billion endowment and is still taking resources from the American taxpayer. And I think that if you’re going to take federal dollars, there’s an understanding that you’re not entitled to it if you’re going to be promoting programs that are adverse to the positions of the administration, particularly when it comes to not protecting Jewish students after the attacks of October 7th. And the way that many of the Ivy League schools sided with Hamas, or certainly showed sympathy to Hamas, [inaudible]. So I think the president’s got his finger on the pulse of where the American people are here.”
